Sinje Nje Nje (traditional)
Sinje Nje Nje is a traditional South African folk song sung in Zulu and Xosa (closely related languages). During the years of Apartheid it became popular amongst mothers and daughters who had lost their sons, brothers, fathers and/or husbands.
Zulu lyrics
Sin nje nje nje ngemi thandazo Ngemi thandazo O mama bagudala babe thandaza Babe thandaza |
English translation
